北京小吃很多没有店铺，往往是街头摊贩售卖，有固定地点的，也有走街串巷的，有做好的，也有现做现卖的。荷花市场守着什刹海，是北京人暑天纳凉的好地方，所以卖吃食的很多，种类也是五花八门。

Lots of Beijing snacks were not sold in shop ,but on street stalls. Some snacks were sold in street at fixed places, while others were sold by peddlers. Some snacks were ready for selling, while others were made on the spot. Lotus market was located in Shichahai, and known as the best place for getting cool in hot days. Therefore, there were lots of snack stalls around there with various varieties.
