北京人过中秋节，有供月、拜月、拜“兔儿爷”、赏月等几种形式。兔儿爷主要是泥塑，施以彩绘，兔面人身。月饼是中秋节应景的食物。“但愿人长久，千里共婵娟”，中秋吃月饼也是团圆的象征。起先只是家庭制作，后来逐渐发展为专业生产。
