拜年 Paying a New Year Call

拜年是北京过春节的一件大事。从正月初一开始，男人们就要到亲戚或者朋友家去拜年了，他们或作揖或跪拜，一边行礼一边互相祝福。民间百姓之间的拜年仅限于男人，妇女只有等到农历正月初六，“破五”之后才能外出拜年。
