In ancient, Cold-Food Festival and Tomb-Sweeping Festival were two different festivals. Since the time was quite close to each other, the two festivals were combined in Yuan Dynasty. On this day, people would swept graves of their relatives and had an outing in spring. The western suburb and Gaoliang Bridge were especially the popular travel spots.
