中元节
Zhongyuan Festival

The lunar July 15th was both known as the Zhongyuan Festival of Taoism and also Yulan Buddhist Rites. It became much more bustling around lanes when nightfall came, the kids held the lanterns, naughty shouted as they ran:"Lotus lantern (Lotus leaf lantern), Lotus lantern (Lotus leaf lantern), was lighted tonight and threw tomorrow ." When it got dark, the beautiful festival lanterns floated down the rivers such as Water Gate, Paozi River, Qingfeng Zha and Jishuitan, the lights reflected on the water, and lighted up the water. The lights looked like the Milky Way and a jade belt from distance. While they looked like flashing stars in close distance, seemed so unreal and disappeared in the sky with yearning for ancestors.
